I hate the puny “heavy weapons” in XCOM 2, and I’d like to create a mod that adds a full-sized rocket launcher for infantry, carried as a secondary weapon and fired from the shouldered position. Basically make it work like in original XCOM Long War, with the ability to carry additional rockets of various properties in utility slots. Losing those utility slots in the late game is killer, for me, because you can't carry a grenade and ammo. Yeah, tossing the berzerker suit on a superior speed ranger can give a guy the whole map of movement in a dash, but without a good stun grenade (or secondary armor) and dragon rounds, it kinda lowers their use. Armor (Long War) - UFOpaedia Armor damage does cause the armor to become damaged. Items in unlimited supply cannot become damaged. The Vortex Armor also cannot become damaged. Soldier armor. Long War nearly doubles the amount of available suits of armor, using the Gene Mod (sleeveless) versions of the original suits of armor for the new suits of armor. Is there a best armor? Or best for each class? - XCOM 2 ... I prefer Warden armor on most because of the extra utility slot. Wraith is good for non-gunslinger sharpshooters or anyone with phantom because of the grappling hook, extra mobility, and phasing through walls. War armor is good if you want to turn the extra utility slot from warden armor into more EXPLOSIONS.
